Well, I’m here in Amsterdam and let me tell you something, this city kind of sucks. It’s a beautiful city don’t get me wrong, but everything is expensive. As far as tourist activities, you have 15 euro museums and drugs, which gets old very quickly. I’m not the one to partake in such activities, but seeing the night life in this city is kind of depressing. It’s as if the EU decided to allow Amsterdam to go ahead with the legalization, and created this vast transportation network which would allow drug-seeking foreigners to satisfy their desires.
Aside from that, Dutch culture doesn’t exist. In Berlin and Istanbul I was immersed in this unique, dynamic lifestyle. Amsterdam on the other hand, lacks any sort of culture. People in Holland are lazy, easily frustrated and SUPER Capitalist, constantly trying to sell you everything. Their cuisine is lacking, pulling from every other culture offering no unique Dutch food. I’m writing this in London right now, which is a lively, active city.
Across my travels, It’s clear that Istanbul was the best. Expect a follow-up post from me once I get back home!
