I’m in Berlin! I also have a cold 😦 But I have to rally through, Europe isn’t as easy as you’d think it would be. A lot of late nights and early mornings. So what have I been doing in Berlin.
The first day I was here went to a cool bar with my friends, alcohol here is so cheap.. Listen to this 2 Euro shots and Beers. That is unheard of in the states. The late night combined with travel exhaustion, I slept for a solid 12 hours that night, woke up refreshed at 10 and went on a 6 hour walking tour. It wasn’t a lot of walking, but keeping a group of 32 people together when you are jumping between different parts of the city, just not fun. This city is beautiful, I made a flickr account with photos of my Euro Travels, that was I don’t have to deal with upload time on this poor wordpress platform. Great for blogging but not if you are trying to upload photos in mass.
The hostel I’m at is really nice, I was expecting it to be much worse, especially because our accommodations in Turkey were really nice. There is WI-FI and a nice communal area/kitchen, so everyone goes and hangs out there after they come back from whatever excursions they had that day. It’s super nice, we didn’t have something like that at the hotel in Turkey. Now that we’re in Berlin, the end of the course seems more apparent. As a result, I’ve for sure been doing a lot more school work here. I’m not built for the social sciences.
