Hey guys! It was a splendid day in Istanbul. Did an absolute obscene amount of walking but that’s fine, got some really good photos which I’m really happy about. We walked down to Taksim Square in Istanbul which was where the recent occupy movements were. One thing I noticed there was the crazy amount of construction, if you thought New York City or Boston was bad, trust me this is worst, it looks like a straight up war zone.
After that our professors tour had ended and she essentially left us alone in the square, we decided to go down to the bridge connecting the Asian side of Istanbul to the European side of Istanbul. I got some crazy photos over there which I’m pumped about. I also got some Kebobs from a street vendor, absolutely no regrets, probably the best street food I’ve ever had in my life.Went back to the Hotel real quick and then went to dinner with a bunch of people. I think I walked between, at least, 12 Kilometers today. So, I’m writing this with super sour legs.
