What a day man. It was my last day at work, and normally I would have a decent amount of intensive labor to perform but that wasn’t the case today. It was kind of nice. We went out to lunch for my departure, it was to this place called “Pier 6”, and let me tell you something, that place is unreal. I haven’t had seafood that fresh in a while. I thought it was my obligation to get my coworkers a gift before I left so I got them Georgetown Cupcakes. They seemed to like it.
Oh, and one of my coworkers got really sentimental before I left, it was pretty weird. I didn’t really know what to say, but I do appreciate it. My boss also told me that he would like for me to come back in the fall. He made it seem as though he really wanted me to. But, that’s too far in the future.
My brother is in town visiting, he’s actually helping me bring all my stuff back home while I’m in Europe. I told him, before he decided to spend the night here, that this is a college dorm and kids drink and that stuff. So right now, I’m writing this at 12:04 AM in the morning, and hes trying to sleep in my bed whilst my roommates are drunkenly singing 90s songs from their room and dancing. It’s actually pretty funny because I know tomorrow morning he’s going to be super pissed about it. Whatever, he went to college, he knows what its like. Actually, do they drink at Cooper Union? Probably not.
He’s been super bougie since he came. For those of you that don’t know it comes from the route bourgeoisie, which is upper/middle class during the middle age. It’s annoying, but I’d be pretty bougie if I was in his place too. Hey, I warned him, although I made a major mistake and started the weekend off pretty badly. We walked 45 minutes to campus instead of taking the T back to my campus from the Indian restaurant we were at. He was pretty pissed, but honestly I thought it would have only taken 20 minutes. My roommates are currently singing Jetplane by John Denver.
He also brought his girlfriend up, she’s cool and I’m happy from them. Ray needs someone to keep him grounded and I think she does a good job of that. We got Indian food today, damn I ate a lot, but I’ll eat an infinite amount of food just as long as someone else is paying. After all, I’m a college student.
I realized I’m kind of screwed for next week: 1) Pharmacy Technician Exam 2) Book review for this godforsaken ethical review my dialogue professor wrote 3) Pack and buy stuff for Europe and 4) Social Obligations. Sometimes I just wish I could take off for a week and be a nonfunctional human being, just get away from everything you know. I’ll stop complaining about my first world problems.
Today’s photo I’m really proud of. I took it in the Charlestown Navy Yard.
Today’s song is a Jetplane by John Denver:
