NYC > Boston

I think I’ve become a “Bostonian” after being a resident in the city for two years. I mean they have asked me to come in for jury duty three times already. That aside, every time I come into Manhattan, I just get so depressed and jealous. Sometimes I wish I could go to school there… they have real pizza and your classic NY Deli! I have yet to find a decent, fairly priced, pizzeria. Oh, and I’ve given up the search for my Egg Bacon and Cheese. Whenever I go home, I make sure to go to the Deli and fiend.

I have to tell you something though, buses suck. If you can avoid it, never take a bus. The kid next to me decided it was a good idea to eat sunflower seeds the whole ride. Normally that would be okay, but the way this kid masticates put me on the brink of puking my brains out for the majority of the ride. Thankfully there were a couple stops where I could get off and get a breather. We finally get into NYC after a 5 hour bus ride, its around 11:15 right now, my train was for 11:42 or 1:02. SO, I begin my sprint from the port authority to Penn Station. During which I get food from a halal truck, HUGE mistake. I’d take the sound of the fool masticating over the stomach pains that the halal gave me any day. But I’m a New Yorker, that’s part of the game.

I considered staying in NY until the 1:02 train to take photos, but that bus ride was so mentally and physically straining that I needed to go home and sleep.

A couple of observations I’ve made since the website began. Ignoring last nights excursions, the whole photography thing has made me significantly more adventurous. Maybe a placebo, I don’t know. It’s sort of relaxing to go out and about, earbuds in,and observing. I don’t know if I’m the sort of person to take photos of people, I like nature, but it’s too early in the game to make that decision.

I changed the name of the website to “MildlyMuddling.com”; “GeorgeBekheet.com”, was too cliche for me. But yea, I still don’t know what I am going to do with this site, in the meantime I’ll leave you, Mr. Muddled Chinese man (reference to previous blog post), off with this song:

Fanfarlo – Lets go Extinct (Phenomenal band, not that my music taste has any credibility).

Also, the photo was taken at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital. The weather was sh*t, so I got a really cool constant grey backdrop.

I won’t have internet for the next week or so, so I’ll try to get some nice photos and make a series of blog posts explaining what has happened at Firefly.
